New Media Interfaces and Infrastructures

Welcome to IntInf, a database for those interested in new media scholarship.  This database is currently being constructed as part of a graduate seminar entitled "New Media Interfaces and Infrastructures" (Wayne State University: English 8007, Winter 2010).  We will be reading and commenting on new media scholarship that examines interfaces (screens, HCI, software interaction) and infrastructures (database logic, software design).

We will also be using this scholarship to examine an emerging interface/infrastructure: Google Wave.  This examination of Wave will be published as part of an upcoming special issue of the journal Criticism entitled "Open Source Culture and Aesthetics."
